Q: Can I communicate directly with my attorney or must I always speak with a secretary or paralegal?
A: The receptionists are trained to put all client calls directly through if the attorney is present at that time (and is not with clients).
Q: Do I need to come to your office on a regular basis?
A: In most situations the majority of communications are through telephone, fax etc. Usually the first consultation is in person but for out of town clients and those with limited availability other arrangements can be made.
Q: How do your fees work? Do you accept credit cards?
A: Personal injury matters are on a contingency basis meaning there is no attorney fee if no recovery. Some matters such as wills and powers of attorney are billed at a flat rate. Many matters including litigation are billed on an hourly basis. We do not accept credit cards. We try to keep our retainers below the norm and we try to provide customized or alternative arrangements when appropriate.
